The track is the first offering from the LP, ‘A History of Nomadic Behavior’ arriving March 12th.

EYEHATEGOD have debuted their first taste of their new album, A History of Nomadic Behavior with the track, “High Risk Trigger”.

The debut of the single was coupled with the news of the official release date for the record, scheduled for March 12th.

The band premiered the track via satellite specialists in SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal, hosted by Jose Mangin. Thematically, the track addresses the elephant in the room, albeit subliminally, touching on a society crippled in fear from an ongoing pandemic, civil unrest, and overall skepticism.

Frontman Mike IX Williams discussed the album, “We’re not a political band, but it was hard not to be affected by the news from the past year. During this recording, I thought a lot about how stupid humanity has become and how America is now completely divided with these people who don’t believe in science and blindly follow liars and nonsensical ideologies. Some of those feelings may have found their way into these songs, but it is mostly subliminal.”

A History of Nomadic Behavior is the first album from the the New Orleans sludge outfit in some seven years. The album draws from the band’s three year touring stint after the Williams endured liver failure and an eventually transplant. “We toured our asses off for three years and that’s where A History of Nomadic Behavior basically comes from.”

Williams continued, “Death is a part of life, it’s a roll of the dice. Sometimes you take life as it comes, other times you fight to stay alive.”

Judging by the first offering from the record, EYEHATEGOD still have plenty of scrap in them.

Album pre-orders are now available in various limited edition versions – HERE.
