The collaboration features Buckley’s unique artwork on both the single and accompanying merchandise.
Still stream rolling from the successful release of The Bronx VI, the L.A.-based punk unit continue their succession of collaboration singles and this time, the band have tapped Every Time I Die’s Jordan Buckley for the release of their latest cut, “High Five”.
“We have known Jordan for almost 20 years now,” shares The Bronx vocalist Matt Caughthran. “His band, Every Time I Die, and The Bronx came up together and we are both kicking maximum ass all over the world. Jordan’s art is super detailed, original, and fun; just like the man himself. It’s an honor to have him involved with the Bronx VI campaign, honestly he was one of the first people we thought to work with on a track.”
The joint effort is the most recent in a series of 7-inch offerings from The Bronx – a way of giving each track on the album it’s own individual shine while finding a way to pool an impressive roster of artistic cohorts. From Dogtown legend Craig Stecyk’s artwork featured on a limited Bronx VI skate deck, to Aussie duo DabsMyla’s art adorning “Superbloom,” U.K. graffiti artist/typographer Gary Stranger’s artwork emblazoned on “Peace Pipe,” a “White Shadow” themed NFT in associated with cult punk/hardcore/Dead & Co. graphic designer Jeremy Dean, and a brilliantly directed visual from Estevan Oriol-directed for “Curb Feelers” – the compilation of collaborative achievements is nothing short if extraordinary.
The latest in “High Five” not only features Buckley’s musical talents on the track, but also boasts his unique brand of artwork on the 7-inch physical format as well as a limited run of merchandise items. The 7-inch and “High Five” capsule are currently available via Thebronxxx.com
