The news marks the band’s first extended outing in the States since 2016.
Robert Smith and The Cure have announced their long-awaited return to the US set for later this spring with the confirmation of the ‘Shows of a Lost World’ Tour. The 30-date engagement will kick off May 10th in New Orleans, LA., and will concluded July 1st in Miami, FL.
The 30-date stretch marks The Cure’s first domestic US tour since 2016, though the band did perform festivals including Austin City Limits and the Daydream Festival in Pasadena, CA back in 2019.
Joining The Cure for the North American Tour, Scottish post-punk stalwarts and perpetual touring mates The Twilight Sad will serve as support.
The tour title takes its cues from the new album that is expected to arrive from The Cure sometime this year. Robert Smith revealed last year that the effort will be called Songs of a Lost World, though the album has been said to be in the works for years. The band did in fact debut two new songs, “Alone” and “Endsong” during last year’s European tour.
The Cure last released an album some 15 years ago with 2008’s 4:13 Dream.

In an effort thwart scalpers, the band have said, “We have priced tickets to benefit fans and our efforts to block scalpers and limited inflated resale prices are being supported by our ticketing partners.”
