The for the duo’s collaboration track from Ozzy’s opus, ‘Ordinary Man’ takes inspiration from real-life events that happened during the recording of Black Sabbath’s Vol. 4

The tandem of Ozzy Osbourne and Post Malone recently celebrated the premiere of the animated visual for their collaborative track, “It’s A Raid” from Osbourne’s universally-lauded 2020 LP, Ordinary Man.

Connecting with fans, both Ozzy and Malone came together online for a watch party that included chatting online with viewers while everyone experienced the music video together.

The Tomas Lenert-directed visual depicts Ozzy and Posty fleeing a Bel Air, CA home in an effort to evade the police that are hot on their trail. Leading law enforcement on a wild ride through the streets of Los Angeles, the duo pass Southern California landmarks while attempting to ditch the fuzz.

While the premise for the video sounds outlandish, Ozzy confides the inspiration comes from a very real place. During a SiriusXM listening party in 2020 to celebrate the release of Ordinary Man, Ozzy discussed the collaboration with Post Malone and the story behind the track.

History has it that while recording Black Sabbath’s VOL. 4 in Bel Air, CA, Ozzy triggered the home’s security alarm. The police were en route, however, the house was stocked with “piles of marijuana and cocaine.” Ozzy continued, “I’m shouting, ‘IT’S A FUCKIN’ RAIIIIID,’ before hiding the drugs and ingesting cocaine while hiding in one of the home’s bathrooms.”

The track serves as the second joint efforts between the two, with the heavy metal icon guesting on Malone’s ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ LP for the track, “Take What You Want”. At the nexus of the continued collaborative chemistry between Post and Ozzy is producer Andrew Watt, who helmed the effort on Ozzy’s, Ordinary Man. Both Watt and Ozzy are currently at work on a follow-up of which Osbourne shares that he, “can’t wait to for everyone to hear my new music.”
