The latest from the band’s soon to be released Lament is a serving of stress relief just about everyone needs right about now.
Post-hardcore vets Touché Amoré couldn’t have picked a better day to share their anxiety-reliving visual for their latest track, “Reminders.”
Another offering from the October 9th full-length, Lament, the single presents a very delivers and important directive considering these very surreal times.
The video begins by posing a simple question, “What serves as a reminder for love in your life?” The remainder of the visual is a collection of edited footage of people with their pets – asserting that kind of unconditional love that every human could use right about now.
Among the participants include some notable cameos from the likes of Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World, Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra, Jacob Bannon of Converge, Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, Anthony Green of Circa Survive, Skrillex, and many more.
As for the track itself, the song was an attempt to restore a sense of personal calm for vocalist Jeremy Bolm amid the political unrest that has permeated throughout everyone’s personal lives in recent years. “I think when we are all panicking, we need to have those reminders that there’s love out there for us whether we believe it or not and that’s all that we can really trust to save us,” explains Bolm.
Coupled with the release of the latest visual, the band has also announced plans to live stream an album release performance on October 12th via TWITCH. The broadcast will begin at 6pm PT and 9pm ET and will include a Q & A with the band and a DJ set from Bolm himself.
Exclusive merch will also be available in conjunction with the livestream including a limited-edition Lament LP limited to 300 units. Watch the video for “Reminders” and after that catch the band’s intimate performance in the K PIT recently featured from our friends at Kerrang!
