Watch the lengthy music video from director Pavel Trebukhin.
Recently completing their hugely successful ‘Deadmen and Dragons’ US Tour along with Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel and Khemmis, Floridian metal powerhouse Trivium have delivered another glimpse from their 2021 In the Court of the Dragon album.
Enlisting director Pavel Trebukhin to bring the creative vision to fruition, Trivium have shared the cinematic visual for the track, “The Shadow of the Abattoir”. The auteur detailed the creative lens he used to craft the narrative visual that paired with the track. “Being a fan of dark science fiction, fantasy, and heavily inspired by 80s world of Stranger Things, I came up with this idea of a haunted book that holds a secret nobody should know. But because of our human nature, we never know when to stop, so the book keeps feeding off our curious souls, taking one victim after another, said Trebukhin.
The reveal of Trivium’s latest music video follows frontman Matt Heafy’s recently teamed up with Nuclear Blast and leading global esports organization Team Vitality to create “Metality (The Vitality Anthem)”. The energized track was created specifically for the Metality campaign, which follows Team Vitality’s CS:GO players as they compete at the world’s biggest tournaments.
