The release commences the celebration of the band’s highly-anticipated new record, Primeval – available now.

As one of death metal’s most rapidly ascending outfits, Venom Prison has finally released their Primeval LP.

To celebrate the milestone, the band has also unveiled a new track featured on the album, “Slayer Of Holofernes,” and the accompanying visual.

The band issued the following regarding the latest selection from their collection.

“Primeval is a collage of different releases that are interwoven with a reinterpretation of religious imagery and criticism. “Slayer of Holofernes” follows that theme. The scene from the book of Judith, follows the protagonist’s character and actions as a challenge to the dominant patriarchal narrative within religious writings.

We wanted to create a connection between this powerful tale and the art that Eliran Kantor has created for ‘Primeval’ through the use of water, depicting Larissa in an ethereal way and through inflicting pain via various methods of water torture on the male character.”

Primeval serves as a collection of the band’s prime selections from their Defy the Tyrant and The Primal Chaos EP, reworked and remastered and packaged with two new tracks in “Slayer of Holofernes” and “Defiant to the Will of God.”

Primeval is now out on Prosthetic Records and available – HERE
