The 2021 installment of the Danny Wimmer Presents metal and rock pilgrimage of the Aftershock Festival has officially given humanity a reason to collectively have something to look forward to.
The all too familiar story of cancellations and postponements in the wake of the pandemic meant that even two nights with Metallica and the return of My Chemical Romance would have to be put on hold – but now…
Not only has the Aftershock lineup returned with the original two-night/two unique set coup with Metallica, as well as the live return of My Chemical Romance but the festival has sweetened the deal with a fourth date headlined by Limp Bizkit and supported by stellar roster including Parkway Drive, Testament, Hatebreed, Exodus, Knocked Loose, and Fit For A King.
For the last five years, the festival that has been billed as the biggest in rock on the West Coast truly has lived up to the moniker, selling out in each of those years. With Metallica helming two nights, the 2020 festival instantly became the hottest ticket to get and despite the extended delay, there’s no doubt the wait will only allow for the anticipation to build.
If anyone needed some added incentive to move on these tickets despite it being a year off, here are the daily offerings the festival has in store for fans.
