The horror film The Retaliators is scheduled to premiere in 2021. The feature is co-directed by Bridget Smith and Samuel Gonzalez Jr. The project is being produced by Better Noise Films, a creative branch of rock record label Better Noise Music.
Give the access to hefty names in the rock universe, the film, which already boasts a solid cast in Michael Lombardi (Rescue Me), Marc Menchaca (Black Mirror / Ozark) and Joseph Gatt (Banshee / Ray Donovan), will also include a bevy of familiar faces from some of rock music’s biggest bands.
The flick features the acting debut of Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix, who plays Quinn Brady. Additional featured appearances include the likes of Tommy Lee, Ivan Moody, Zoltan Bathory and Chris Kael of Five Finger Death Punch, Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Craig Mabbitt of Escape the Fate, Jaya of The Hu, Amanda Lyberg of Eva Under Fire and many more.
“When I heard about this film last year, I spoke to the creative team and I felt I had a vehicle to see if I could expand my range as an artist,” Shaddix shared in a statement. “Truly, I couldn’t have imagined how much I enjoyed this experience and can’t wait to find another film in the future.”
Given the connection to Better Noise, the film’s accompanying soundtrack is said to feature entries from bands like 5FDP, Papa Roach, Escape The Fate, From Ashes To New, The Hu, Bad Wolves, All Good Things, Eva Under Fire, Tempt and more.
