The mystery continues and deepen and the scares get gnarlier as MGM+ approves another season of the horror series
MGM+ may be an undersung network when you compare it to heavy hitters like HBO (now Max) or Apple or Netflix, but there’s one acclaimed series that it’s been able to proudly call its own: John Griffin’s original science fiction horror show FROM. The story unravels the mystery of a nightmarish American town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the forest including the terrifying creatures that come out at night.
FROM is the second-most-viewed title in MGM+’s entire catalog, only falling behind in viewership to the Forest Whitaker-led Godfather of Harlem. After two successful seasons of horrifying thrills, the show has now been renewed for a 10-episode third season. In the wake of Season Two’s epic cliffhanger, escape will become a tantalizing and very real possibility as the true nature of the town comes into focus, and the townspeople go on offense against the myriad horrors surrounding them. The series is set to return in 2024.
“The first two seasons of FROM captivated critics and terrified and engaged fans, who have formed a thriving online community that is trying to put the pieces together week by week as the secrets of the nightmarish town—and possibly beyond—are slowly revealed,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+. “We can’t wait for fans to see the surprises ahead in Season Three, which promises more scares and mysteries, but also more answers.”
“We’re so grateful for the support of our fans and FROMily this season. We have a lot more story to tell … and shocking, weird roads to take you on, with plenty of answers along the way,” said Jack Bender, executive producer and director.
Horror is thriving at the moment, perhaps more so than ever before. If you’re not on board this particular scary train yet, you luckily have another year to get acquainted with everything FROM has to offer before it returns to knock your socks off.
