‘The Mandalorian (Season 3)’ (Disney+)
The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
‘Spoonful of Sugar’ (Shudder)
Millicent (Morgan Saylor) working on her thesis about children with severe allergies, is hired to babysit little Johnny, a sickly, mute child who suffers from every allergy under the sun. As she discovers Johnny’s dark family secrets things begin to become unhinged.
‘Wreck’ (Hulu)
Set aboard The Sacramentum cruise ship, Wreck follows 19-year-old new recruit Jamie (Oscar Kennedy) as he attempts to infiltrate a crew of 1000 people to find his missing sister who vanished on the previous tour aboard the same vessel. Watch as Jamie, and his new found friends, work together to uncover the sinister truth that runs as wide and deep as the ocean on which they’re trapped.
‘Triangle of Sadness’ (Hulu)
Celebrity model couple, Carl (Harris Dickinson) and Yaya (Charlbi Dean), are invited on a luxury cruise for the uber-rich, helmed by an unhinged boat captain (Woody Harrelson). What first appeared instagrammable ends catastrophically, leaving the survivors stranded on a desert island and fighting for survival.
‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ (Prime Video)
In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world; the band had risen from obscurity to fame, and then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits; now, decades later, the band members agree to reveal the truth.
‘Creed & Creed II’ (Prime Video)
Just in time for the release of Creed III, all of the Rocky franchise is now available to stream on Prime Video. That includes Creed and Creed II, which have continued the legacy of the iconic boxing series with Michael B. Jordan as its star. Catch back up on the saga and then head out to the theater for the new one.
‘Gretel & Hansel’ (Shudder)
After being thrown out of their mother’s home due to extreme poverty, Gretel (Sophia Lillis) leads her younger brother, Hansel (Samuel J. Leakey), through the woods in search of food and work. The children soon discover a quaint cottage in the wood, where a fragile old woman, Holda (Alice Krige), offers fresh food and bed. The children hungrily accept Holda’s gifts, with little thought as to what they may be asked of in return. As days pass, Hansel grows weary of Holda’s intentions and the “lessons” she has been teaching Gretel behind his back. As Gretel begins to come into her own, she detects her brother might be in serious danger.
‘Next Exit’ (Hulu)
Next Exit follows a research scientist (Karen Gillan) who makes national news proving she can track people into the afterlife – Rose (Katie Parker) sees a way out, and Teddy (Rahul Kohli) sees his chance to finally make it. These two strangers, both harboring dark secrets, race to join the doctor’s contentious study and leave this life behind. While Rose is haunted by a ghostly presence that she can’t outrun, Teddy is forced to confront his past.
‘Scream 4’ (Paramount+)
Before Ghostface makes a move to the Big Apple next week, you can catch back up on the final entry of the Scream franchise to be directed by Wes Craven. Kirby (Hayden Panettiere), who instantly became a fan favorite in Scream 4, will be returning to the franchise in the upcoming Scream VI.
