‘Barry (Season 3)’ (HBO Max)
Desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry (Hader) is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. ‘Ozark (Season 4 Part 2)’ (Netflix)
The finale to one of the greatest hit series in Netflix’s history has finally arrived. Facing threats from all sides, Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) fight to keep their family together, appease the cartel and the FBI — and leave the Ozarks for good.
‘Under the Banner of Heaven’ (Hulu)
Under the Banner of Heaven is an original limited series inspired by the true crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, which follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. What Pyre, a devout Mormon, unearths leads him to question his own faith.
‘The Offer’ (Paramount+)
This biographical dramatic miniseries tells the true story of producer Al Ruddy’s (Miles Teller) experience of making the 1972 film The Godfather with Francis Ford Coppola. From development to production, the series lays out the process of creating one of the greatest films of all time.
‘Shining Girls’ (Apple TV+)
Based on Lauren Beukes’ best-selling novel, Shining Girls follows Kirby Mazrachi (Moss) as a Chicago newspaper archivist whose journalistic ambitions were put on hold after enduring a traumatic assault. Years after a brutal attack left her in a constantly shifting reality, Kirby Mazrachi learns that a recent murder is linked to her assault. She teams with veteran reporter Dan Velazquez (played by Wagner Moura) to understand her ever-changing present—and confront her past.
‘The Baby’ (HBO Max)
The new limited series blends horror and comedy in a surrealist study on motherhood. When a controlling baby with violent powers mysteriously lands in Natasha’s (Michelle de Swarte) lap, she must figure out how to wrestle her life back: She doesn’t want a baby. The baby wants her.
‘Bullshit The Game Show’ (Netflix)
Hosted by Howie Mandel, contestants on this show strive to correctly answer difficult trivia questions. And when they can’t, they simply move on to plan B: lying through their teeth. If they don’t know the answer to the question, they can pick a different one and try to convince the other three contestants that their answer is the right one. The other three contestants pick whether the hot seat player is bullshitting or not.
‘We Own This City’ (HBO Max)
A miniseries exploring the deep systemic corruption inherent in law enforcement, We Own This City details the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the series is based on the book of the same name by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton.
‘The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes’ (Netflix)
Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe’s tragic death spawned conspiracies and rumors for decades, often overshadowing her talent and shrewdness. By piecing together her final weeks, days, and hours through previously unheard recordings of those who knew her best, the film illuminates more of her glamorous, complicated life, and offers a new perspective on that fateful night.
‘Snowpiercer (Season 3)’ (HBO Max)
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name. Season 3 picks up with Layton (Daveed Diggs) and his inner circle commanding a small 10-car “pirate train” in search of Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) and a possible warm location to restart civilization. Back on Snowpiercer, Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) is consolidating power, awaiting Layton’s return.

‘Star Trek: Picard (Season 2)’ (Paramount+)
Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his companions are trapped in the 21st century when reality is broken by Q (John de Lancie) as part of the ultimate trial for Picard. They must race against time to save the future of the galaxy. The second season of the recent Star Trek spin-off show will feature several appearances from The Next Generation characters. The first nine episodes are now streaming with the finale arriving next week.
‘Halo’ (Paramount+)
Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, the long-awaited Halo series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future. ‘Atlanta (Season 3)’ (Hulu)
Taking place almost entirely in Europe, Season 3 of Atlanta finds Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as the group navigates their new surroundings as outsiders, and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to. The first seven episodes are now streaming.
‘Pachinko’ (Apple TV+)
Based on the New York Times bestseller, Pachinko is a sweeping saga that chronicles the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations. The series stars Soji Arai as Mozasu, Jin Ha as Solomon, Inji Jeong as Yangjin, Minha Kim as teenage Sunja, Lee Minho as Hansu, Kaho Minami as Etsuko, Steve Sanghyun Noh as Isak, Anna Sawai as Naomi, Junwoo Han as Yoseb, Jung Eun-chae as Young Kyunghee, Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews, Yu-na Jeon as young Sunja, and Academy Award-winning actress Yuh-Jung Youn as older Sunja. Pachinko is written and executive produced by Soo Hugh (The Terror, The Killing), who created the series and serves as showrunner. All eight episodes are now streaming.
‘Moon Knight’ (Disney+)
This latest Marvel series follows Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac), a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt. The first five episodes are now streaming with the finale arriving next week.
‘The Girl from Plainville’ (Hulu)
Inspired by the deeply troubling true story of Michelle Carter’s unprecedented “texting-suicide” case, this limited series explores Carter’s (Elle Fanning) relationship with Conrad Roy III (Colton Ryan) and the events that led to his death and, later, her conviction of involuntary manslaughter. The first seven episodes are now streaming with the finale arriving next week.
