‘Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe’ (Paramount+)

They’re back. In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-head are sentenced to Space Camp by a “creative” judge in 1998, leading to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results. After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.

‘Revealer’ (Shudder)

Tensions rise when a stripper (Caito Aase) and religious protester (Ray) are trapped together in a peep show booth and must come together to survive the apocalypse in 1980’s Chicago. Funny, ambitious, horrific and hilarious, this retro flick is what B-movie horror is all about.

‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’ (Netflix)

Thieves overtake the mint of a unified Korea. With hostages trapped inside, the police must stop them — as well as the shadowy mastermind behind it all. This Korean take on the popular Netflix crime series changes the scenery and offers fresh thrills along with a new slew of complex characters.

‘The Ledge’ (Hulu)

A rock climbing adventure between two friends turns into a terrifying nightmare. After Kelly (Brittany Ashworth) captures the murder of her best friend on camera, she becomes the next target of a tight-knit group of friends who will stop at nothing to destroy the evidence and anyone in their way. Desperate for her safety, she begins a treacherous climb up a mountain cliff and her survival instincts are put to the test when she becomes trapped with the killers just 20 feet away.

‘Tuca & Bertie (Season 2)’ (HBO Max)

This animated comedy series explores the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building. The buddy comedy features cocky, carefree toucan Tuca and anxious, daydreaming songbird Bertie as they live their lives in the metropolis of Bird Town. Season 2 of the series is finally available to stream after its 2021 airing on Adult Swim.

‘Rise’ (Disney+)

After emigrating from Nigeria to Greece, Charles and Vera Antetokounmpo (Dayo Okeniyi and Yetide Badaki, respectively) struggled to survive and provide for their five children, while living under the daily threat of deportation. With their oldest son still in Nigeria with relatives, the couple were desperate to obtain Greek citizenship but found themselves undermined by a system that blocked them at every turn. When they weren’t selling items to tourists on the streets of Athens with the rest of the family, the brothers – Giannis (Uche Agada) and Thanasis (Ral Agada) – would play basketball with a local youth team. Latecomers to the sport, they discovered their great abilities on the basketball court and worked hard to become world class athletes, along with brother, Kostas (Jaden Osimuwa).

‘Ted K’ (Hulu)

In the mountains of Montana, a recluse’s radicalized contempt for modern technology drives him to terrorize others. Based on the Unabomber’s diaries and writings, Ted K is a kaleidoscopic true crime journey into the life of one of America’s most complex and eccentric killers.

‘Loot’ (Apple TV+)

After divorcing her husband of 20 years, Molly Novak must figure out what to do with her $87 billion settlement. She decides to reengage with her charitable foundation and reconnect with the real world—finding herself along the way.

‘The Man from Toronto’ (Netflix)

A case of mistaken identity arises after a screw-up sales consultant and the world’s deadliest assassin—known only as The Man from Toronto— run into each other at a holiday rental. Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson star in this action packed comedy.
