‘Flux Gourmet’ (Shudder)

A dysfunctional sonic collective – a band devoted to the sounds of the culinary arts – navigates rivalries internal and external in this absurdly original feast for the senses.

‘Goodnight Mommy’ (Amazon Prime Video)

In this American remake of the 2014 cult horror favorite from Austria, twin brothers (Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti) arrive at their mother’s (Naomi Watts) country home to discover her face covered in bandages – the result, she explains, of recent cosmetic surgery. They immediately sense that something doesn’t add up. As her behavior grows increasingly bizarre and erratic, a horrifying thought takes root in the boys’ minds: The sinking suspicion that the woman beneath the gauze, who’s making their food and sleeping in the next room, isn’t their mother at all.

‘Do Revenge’ (Netflix)

After a clandestine run-in, Drea (Alpha, fallen it girl played by Camila Mendes) and Eleanor (beta, new alt girl played by Maya Hawke) team up to go after each other’s tormentors. Do Revenge is a subverted Hitchcock-ian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all: teenage girls.

‘Speak No Evil’ (Shudder)

One family accepts an invitation to the rural home of another they met on holiday, only to find their lives altered in unexpected, deeply horrifying way. Directed by Christian Tafdrup.

‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ (Netflix)

Based on the popular Cyberpunk 2077 video game, this series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.

‘Atlanta (Season 4)’ (Hulu)

The final season is at hand for Donald Glover’s television magnum opus. Season 4 finds Earn (Glover), Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) back in their hometown. But the question is, has Atlanta changed or have they?

‘The Outfit’ (Amazon Prime Video)

‘The Handmaid’s Tale (Season 5)’ (Hulu)

In the fifth season of this harrowing dystopian epic, June (Elisabeth Moss) will faces consequences for her actions while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. She and Luke (O. T. Fagbenle) are still joined in their mission to save Hannah and get her out of Gilead. Meanwhile, Serena Waterford (Yvonne Strahovski) wants to protect her baby at all costs.

‘Los Espookys (Season 2)’ (HBO Max)

Season two finds our charismatic Los Espookys leader and gore enthusiast, Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco), haunted by the ghost of a beauty pageant queen, while Úrsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti), enlists an old acquaintance to challenge the political status quo. Úrsula’s well-meaning sister, Tati (Ana Fabrega), is adjusting to her life as a newlywed, while balancing a new gig, and Renaldo’s ominous best friend, Andrés (Julio Torres), tries to find his place in the world after appeasing his inner demons (literally). Meanwhile, Uncle Tico (Fred Armisen) is searching for a new purpose after his valet career is derailed.

‘Vampire Academy’ (Peacock)

In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women’s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society. One as a powerful Royal, the other a half-vampire Guardian trained to protect against the savage ‘Strigoi’ who threaten to tear their society apart. ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ (Disney+)

‘Bad Sisters’ (Apple TV+)

‘House of the Dragon’ (HBO Max)

The reign of House Targaryen begins: House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, is here. Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, which is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. The first four episodes are now streaming.

‘Little Demon’ (Hulu)

In FX’s Little Demon, an animated comedy featuring the voices of Danny DeVito and Aubrey Plaza, it has been 13 years since being impregnated by Satan, and a reluctant mother, Laura, and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware.
