‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ (Amazon Prime Video)

The time is finally here. The biggest and most expensive television series in history has now begun streaming exclusively on Prime Video and looks to introduce a new generation to Middle Earth. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

‘We’re All Going to the World’s Fair’ (HBO Max)

A young teenage girl named Casey (Anna Cobb) spends her nights alone in her dimly lit room, scrolling through the internet and becoming intrigued by an online role-playing game called the “World’s Fair Challenge”. Those who take the challenge claim to go through bizarre and inexplicable changes, and once Casey joins in, she believes it’s happening to her too. Taking notes from the Paranormal Activity films, World’s Fair is told predominately through Casey’s webcam, making the scares more intimate and leaving you unable to look away.

‘Who Invited Them’ (Shudder)

Adam and Margo’s housewarming party goes well enough… except there’s this one mysterious couple (Tom and Sasha) lingering after the other guests have left. The cool couple reveals themselves to be their wealthy neighbors but as one nightcap leads to another, Adam and Margo start to suspect their new friends are actually duplicitous strangers with a dark secret.

‘Devil in Ohio’ (Netflix)

‘Lords of Salem’ (Shudder)

One of Rob Zombie’s best films, starring his wife and muse Sheri Moon Zombie as a radio DJ with a checkered past named Heidi. The film takes place in Salem, Massachusetts and is far more atmospheric than most of the shock rocker’s other projects. Heidi receives a mysterious gift that triggers some disturbing flashbacks, and soon her life becomes entangled with a coven of malevolent witches with ominous plans. The Lords of Salem is Zombie at his most creative and unrestrained, filled to the brim with visceral and unnerving imagery, weighty ideas and of course, slamming metal tunes.

The series is now back for a fourth season of undead antics and further hilarity that’s sure to keep fans wheezing for air. The first nine episodes are now streaming with the finale arriving next week.

‘Rap Sh!t’ (HBO Max)

From executive producer Issa Rae comes a new show that follows two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion), who reunite to form a rap group. Join Shawna and Mia as they try to make it in the rap scene all while staying true to themselves. All episodes are now streaming.

‘American Horror Stories (Season 2)’ (Hulu)

American Horror Stories is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s award-winning anthology series American Horror Story. The weekly anthology series features a different horror story in each episode and is now back for a season round of creepy thrills. ‘Five Days at Memorial’ (Apple TV+)

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ (Disney+)

Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) becomes the powerful She-Hulk after a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). Walters struggles to juggle her career as a lawyer – specifically one who specializes in superhero-related cases – with her recent big and green transformations, as well as a romantic life. ‘House of the Dragon’ (HBO Max)

The reign of House Targaryen begins: House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, is here. Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, which is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. The first two episodes are now streaming.

‘Little Demon’ (Hulu)

In FX’s Little Demon, an animated comedy featuring the voices of Danny DeVito and Aubrey Plaza, it has been 13 years since being impregnated by Satan, and a reluctant mother, Laura, and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware.
